A Diamond Cut Repair is a process where you remove deep nicks and scratches from the rim by precisely cutting the surface of the rim. For this process, a specially developed Diamond Cut rim machine is used, which uses a diamond blade to very precisely cut the rim.
This type of rim repair brings out the shiny appearance of the rim and provides a good contrast to the painted parts of the rim. The repair is completed with a coating that provides excellent protection and a glossy finish.
Diamond Cut rims is a type of alloy wheel that enhances your car's appearance and gives it a touch of luxery. Many choose to get these types of rims for their car, because they look elegant and unique.
One of the typical reasons why you need Diamond Cut on your rims is if you have scratched your rims in some way. You may have been too close to a curb and scratched your rims, or you may have gouged them in some other way.
Diamond Cut rims are typically more prone to damage because the aluminum is so exposed. Just a single damage is highly visible on the mirror-like surface. Fortunately, damage such as nicks or deep scratches can be repaired by cutting a thin layer off the surface of the rim, restoring the aluminum's mirror finish.
We offer several different types of alloy wheel repairs, but we only use this repair method for Diamond Cut rims. If you have damage to a regular painted alloy wheel, you should book a painted alloy wheel repair instead, which is also slightly cheaper than our Diamond Cut wheel repair.
As a customer, you don't need to prepare or do anything special to your wheels before you bring your Diamond Cut wheels in for repair. We will clean and prepare your wheels for repair, so you don't need to do anything before you show up.
We'll assess your wheels before the repair and let you know if there are any additional services on top of the repair price, if applicable. For example, if you also have damage to the painted area of your Diamond Cut rim. This is because the rim needs to be painted before it is cut and painted, and this is a service that is not included in the price.
If we discover that your rims are crooked, it is also necessary to have a wheel straightening prior to the repair. Otherwise, the rim cannot be mounted in the specially designed rim machine for Diamond Cut. This service is also not included in the price.
